A Medley of Wonders

With a sporadic location in the Western Arm of the Great East African Rift Valley, the park extends its horizons to the foothills of the magnificent scenery of Mt Rwenzori in the North to the Ishasha sector southwards famous for rare tree-climbing lions.

In fact, the park is a treasure, a rich habitat of savanna, equatorial rainforests, papyrus swamps, creators, Baboons Cliff, kyambura gorge Kazinga Channel, Lake Edward and Lake George, teeming with animals and birds.
A Launch cruise, and morning and late evening game drives provide visitors with easy game viewing drives with Buffalo, Elephant, waterbucks, mongoose, warthogs, lions and several species of birds. Kyambura Gorge offers a lifetime experience to trek chimps and other primates while the creator region and Baboon Cliff give visitors see a real taste of the wonders of nature. Mweya Safari Lodge adjacent to Kazinga Channel and Jacana Safari Lodge beneath spectacular Maramagambo forest scenery offer the best accommodation with hospitable staff.

DAY 1
The Safari begins from Kampala / Entebbe . Our guide picks you up at 7:30 am from your hotel or residence and drives to Mbarara (283 Km from Kampala ) westwards via Masaka. Make the first stop over at the Equator crossing for snacks and photography. Lunch break is made at Regency Lake View Hotel or Agip Motel Mbarara. After lunch, a drive to Queen enables visitors to enjoy beautiful scenery, herds of long-horned Ankole cattle, and tea plantations in Ishaka, Rift Valley escarpment, open grassland and woodland savanna. Evening game drive for sightseeing is much more rewarding. Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge.

DAY 2
Begin your day with a cup of coffee. Early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile makes visitors encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, a two-hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel is worthwhile an opportunity to see Hippo, Buffalos, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs etc. This trip also gives visitors a chance to see spectacular birds. Dinner & overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge.

DAY 3
With previous days' memories, enjoy your breakfast ready for a guided primate walk along Kyambura Gorge to look for habituated chimps through the gorge. After the primate walk, drive to Mbarara for lunch. Return to Kampala at your own convenience where you will be dropped off either at your hotel/residence or airport.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES
Drive to Lake Katwe : Interacting with the local people, See local methods of salt mining and Sight seeing. Guided nature walk to the bird hide out: Birding, game viewing and photography. Drive to Ishasha sector: See woodland open savannah, look for rare tree climbing lions and game viewing. NOTE: It’s advisable to spend extra day to accomplish the above optional activities. Extension of your itinerary to Kibale, Bwindi, Lake Bunyonyi , and Semiliki wild reserve, Mburo or Murchison is possible depending on available time frame and budget. The safari package to include:
