DAY 1
KAMPALA/ENTEBBE
You will be personally received and welcomed by our company representative on your arrival at Entebbe airport and transferred to the Hotel of your choice. (For those arriving earlier, an afternoon excursion can be planned to the famous tombs of the Kabaka kings, Uganda museum, Bahai temple and Namugongo Martyrs shrine where 22 Christian convicts were killed under Kabaka(King of Buganda)-Mwanga in 1886.

DAY 2
Begin the panoramic drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle and Masindi Town to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in time for a picnic lunch at the spectacularly situated site at the top of the Falls where you can see the Nile’s beauty perfected! Marvel at the Nile, compressing from up to 1 km squeeze through a 7-meter canyon dropping 45 meters with a thunderous roar creating a beautiful rainbow, a plume of spray and the best thing that happened to the Nile…” the Murchison Falls”. Enjoy the sunset as you return to the lodge. DAY 3
If you are booked for Nile Safari Camp, cross the placid Victoria Nile to the northern Bank. Your guide will help you spot Elephants, Lions, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. After lunch, go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron”. En route, marvel at the toothsome hippos, and crocodiles and over this 17 km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob crocodile. This is also a zone of many bird species like the Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork.

DAY 4
All day drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal through verdant countryside and past traditional homesteads and farms along Albertine Rift escarpments. Fort-Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon Meals and overnight at Ndali Lodge, a stunning location overlooking a dramatic Crater Lake and the fabled “Mountains of the Moon”/ Mantana Tented Camp (High end/luxurious accommodation), Rwenzori View Guest House/Ataco Guest house (Medium class accommodation) or Primate Lodge Kibale Bandas (Low budget/basic accommodation

DAY 5
A half-day search of chimpanzees and 10 other primates including phoestes, red colobus, blues, red-tailed and grey-cheeked mangabey. The guide will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates but also on all the forest fauna and flora and will ensure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and seeing primates at close quarters. After lunch, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Ruwenzori Mt. Range via the Crater Lake region and baboon cliffs. A game drive en route to view lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, hyena and a variety of antelope species. DAY 6
Dawn game drives today. Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse ecosystem of grassy plains, tropical forests, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game drives in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris as a backdrop provide excellent opportunities to see lions, leopards, giant forest hogs, Cape buffalo, elephants, Defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bush buck. These game drives and boat trips are a memorable method of discovering a vast array of wildlife. In the afternoon, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. DAY 7
Today’s drive is through what is probably East Africa’s most spectacular scenery, the highland rain forests which reach the volcanoes in which live the mountain gorillas. A visit to the Bat Cave close to the Maramagambo forest and the “Blue Lake” is a must! This is the lushest highland rainforest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds. The afternoon is spent on a game drive around the Ishasha Sector looking for the rare tree African climbing lions. Thereafter drive to Bwindi. Dinner and overnight at either Gorilla Forest Camp Uganda Safari Lodge/ Mantana Tented Camp (High end/luxurious accommodation), Lake Kitandara’s Tented Camp/ Buhoma Homestead (Medium class accommodation) or the Community Bandas (Low budget/basic accommodation).

DAY 8
Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. There are now only 650 left in the world! The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it's well worth the effort.
